Read more about them below.
Kissimmee, Florida
March 9th - 16th, 2024
Give Kids the World
Students will set out for Kissimmee, Florida to share their time and passion as part of volunteering at Give Kids The World (GKTW) Village. The village serves as a home away from home to families who have a child with a life-threatening illness.
Puerto Rico:
June 2-8, 2024
Hurricane Recovery Work
Volunteers will engage in recovery work supporting individuals and families impacted by Hurricane Maria and Hurricane Fiona. The work will be hands-on and will focus on replacing roofs on one-story homes in the San Juan area of Puerto Rico.
Madisonville, Kentucky:
March 10th - 16th, 2024
Tornado Recovery Work
Volunteers will engage in recovery work supporting individuals and families impacted by the tornadoes that tore through four states in 2022. The work will be hands-on building of new homes in the hard-hit areas of Barnsley County and Dawson Springs Kentucky.
The GKTW trip is a must for any student interested in volunteering with children. At GKTW, every child is dealing with a critical illness, or is a sibling to a child with a critical illness. The week these families spend at GKTW may be their only “normal” family vacation, or a lifelong wish come true. You will never forget the joy we get to witness as volunteers in both the children and their families.
