Livingston County Declares April 2025 as Volunteer Month
On Wednesday, Board Members Lisa Burns, Angela Ellis, Brenda Donohue and Tom Matthews attended the Livingston County Board of Supervisors meeting when they approved the Proclamation Declaring the Month of April 2025 as Volunteer Month and April 10th as Volunteer Appreciation Day in Livingston County.

Livingston County Cares will honor selected nominees for their volunteer efforts during a reception in April 2025.

February 10, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

Donate to California Fires Fund
Once again, a terrible natural disaster has struck. Communities in the Los Angeles, California area have been devastated by wildfires spread by the infamous Santa Ana winds. At the time of this writing, the fires continue to rage. Pacific Palisades and Altadena have experienced catastrophic losses of life and property; other communities may also be impacted. It is too early to know where to send funds that will best support these communities.
As with Hurricane Helene, CARES pledges to send donations to community-based organizations in the affected communities or to organizations working directly with communities. We would be happy to receive additional funds from our community of caring donors to add to our donation.
