The 2nd Annual Livingston County CARES Awards is designed to celebrate the volunteering spirit of our community. Volunteerism is an essential part of caring for those less fortunate than ourselves and for organizations and individuals that do the necessary work of advocating for the greater good of our community. Volunteers exemplify service and empathy and we are delighted to acknowledge their commitment to their fellow community members.

 

The CARES Awards Event Celebration will take place on Friday, April 10, 2026 at The Big Tree Inn on Main Street in Geneseo.  All nominators and nominees (whether finalist or not) will be invited via personal invitation to the April  10th reception celebration and are encouraged to attend.

 

Livingston County CARES, Inc. along with our partners: Livingston County Government, SUNY Geneseo, Livingston County Chamber of Commerce and Genesee Valley Council on the Arts wishes to extend our thanks to all nominators for their support of volunteering and for their appreciation for those that serve our community.

 

A nominee for the CARES AWARD should demonstrate dedication, leadership qualities, and a measurable impact on the local community. In making your nomination, please review the following criteria:

 

• The CARES AWARD may be presented to an individual or group in the area of cultural, educational/student, business, humanitarian, patriotic, historic, citizenship, environmental/conservation activities.

• There is no age or length of service requirement for the CARES AWARD, but the service must be voluntary and unpaid.

• Eligible recipient of The CARES AWARD must either live or work in Livingston County.

• Eligible recipient of The CARES AWARD volunteer work must benefit the community of Livingston County.

• Individuals, organizations or groups (profit or non-profit) can be nominated for the CARES AWARD by community members, employers, or educational institutions (faculty, staff, or students.)

• Individuals can also nominate themselves for the CARES AWARD.

 

The deadline to submit a nomination is Friday, February 6, 2026 at 11:59 PM.

• Printed nomination forms are available at: Livingston County Chamber of Commerce, 4653 Millennium Drive Dr., Geneseo, NY 14454.

• Printed nomination forms should be sent to: Livingston County CARES, Inc., 31 Center St, Geneseo, NY 14454.

• Printed nomination forms must be post marked no later than February 6th, 2026.
